Final Message to the Group
Well done to Tom, who took the end of year trophy and to all the other winners from the night. A special mention for Mr. Wakefield, who despite it being his first night with the group, scooped up several awards including night winner. Another stirling team performance when it came to the outfits, everyone making great efforts and innovations. This group will be remembered for its daring and outrageous forfeit challenge spirit and the last night was no exception quite possibly being the funniest Buzz night on record.

A night of unforgettable border line insanity as the Group threw everything into the final night efforts and also at each other. The determination to win at all costs was both incredible and admirable. Tom finished top of the group taking home the trophy while Andy and Faye won the night.
Despite the impossibility of the 'Curly Wurly Handstand' the boys certainly put 100% effort into their attempts, Andy sustaining a 'carpet burn' to the head thanks to Paul's rough handling. This challenge was magically transformed into the 'Curly Wurly Piggie Back Race' which gave the men a chance to show their strength, endurance and of course dribbling skills. For their sustained efforts all the men were awarded 'Best Forfeit' of the evening.
Clearly the excitement of the first challenge had rubbed off on the girls as Holly & Emily were tied up and armed with bats to take out all their frustrations on the more unfortunate Tom & Darren respectively. Emily literally went ballistic, annihilating all the balloons and Darren's shins at the same time - accuracy was not a concern. Holly focused her hitting more precisely but took longer to rid Tom's lower torso of the inflated toys in question.
Finally the much loved limbo stick was back in action with Faye and Dawn facing off in the most efficient limbo challenge to date with both persons shaking their stuff and grabbing the marshmellows in time with Apache Indian's raucous rythum.
Tom lifted the trophy and gave an emotional winners speech, thanking his wife's help throughout the year and asking her to join him in the victory photos. Being given the Group C exclusive bonus winner prize of the giant 'No.1' Tom suggested it would be appropriate for last year's winner Darren to pose with Tom positioning the aforementioned prize on his ass. In the true spirit of the night - Darren refused.

A night of dark surprises, with supberb efforts made to represent the batman theme (and scare my neighbours), anger frustration took out on the forfeits and Darren actually not winning the night!
New members Paul & Emily got right into the action both coming out with awards and excellent points totals. After 'equipment problems', Matt & Faye's Live Target forfeit was ingeniously tweaked to involve the same target practice but to be executed with the cruel dark batwoman whip instead of the malfunctioning paintball gun. Clearly this change went down a storm for the audience making it the highest scored forfeit of the night and ultimately the deciding factor of Faye being the overall night winner. And Matt didn't enjoy it one bit! There was frustration a-plenty when Martin & Michelle faced off against Paul & Holly in 'blind gun-off' the laser shooting going up close and personal, with Paul & Holly triumphing in the end. The lighting reaction forfeit saw an incredible comeback from Tom's team, after trailing to Darren & Emily initially - pulling the score right back to win 5-3 in a rather tense and dark final challenge.
There was no let down with the outfit efforts from the group as Faye & Emily managed to scare off my neigbours and Tom's car party made a dramatic caped entry to the party. The innovation award and prize was again incredibly difficult to award but Dawn as batwoman with the complete outfit and whip and Tom with the 'heavy duty - sweat intensive' batman suit were declared joint winners. Runners up were Martin with his amazing bat-mask and cape, the Robinson girls as very convincing jokers, and Michelle with her hand-made Robin cape.
The quizzes took the unusual direction of reigning group champion Darren winning nothing until the very end, which drew a seemingly unstoppable amount of ridicule from the group, Tom seeming to enjoy his 'Pie Pie Pie' moments a little too much!

Darren retained his 100% winning record, but it was Tom & Dawn who really took the night with multiple awards topping the table after this first night for Group C.
Michelle was new member to the group who teamed up with the winner of the last night to compete with a highly successful 'Velcro Jumping' challenge. Darren and myself clearly dominated the 'Shocking Ball' forfeit but kind scores were not given Mr.Grainger's way. Of course the most memorable, if not disturbing part of quite possibly the funniest night of the year, was Tom & Dawn's headfirst forfeit. I'm not going to even begin to describe that 1 and half minutes of my life, I'm just going to say - watch the video.

Darren goes into the Buzz Hall of Fame after finishing top of the group, with the self-named 'sausage jockey' team. There were contentions that Darren carrying over points won from a previous Buzz Night gave him a head start and an unfair advantage - but as Darren was the overall winner of the night - his 40 total points earned from the last game alone were greater than any other team member, thus making a fair and convincing victory.
